The tepees are some cone-shaped (or tepee-shaped) hills caved in the local badlands of the Petrified Forest National Park. This area is probably most famous just because it is along the main park road. The tepees are located near the middle of the park between the entrance to Blue Mesa and Newspaper Rock.
