We stand on Earth only because there are shores around and skies above. Even the largest of deserts are surrounded by waters, however far away that may be, and even the highest of mountains are just bumps under the heights of the air, however rarefied it may be.

If our Earth is compared to an apple, then the thickness of the layer between the deepest ocean bottom and the highest mountain top is comparatively thinner than the thickness of the apple skin.

Isn't it high time the "most advanced" creature finally understands the importance of responsible behavior toward that meagre envelope that keeps all beings alive?
Of course it is.
