This photo was taken in Linz Austria. I took this photo a few days before they started to remove the old iron lady as we call the bridge. Right now just the concrete supporters are left.Time
This shot was taken about half an hour after sunset.Lighting
The light was awesome. I always prefer to shoot against the light and together with the clouds light from below the scenery was amazing.Equipment
The shot was done with an Canon EOS 6d + Canon 16-35mm F4 with a Sirui tripod. For getting more dynamic range I used a soft 0.6 graduated ND filter from LEE, to get a longer exposure I added an ND8 from Haida and to minimize reflections I used the Landscape Polarizer from LEE.Inspiration
Mostly because the removed the bridge in the next days and of course I really liked the light that day.Editing
For processing I used Lightroom and pushed the magenta a quite a bit with the whitebalance and removed some small things I didn't liked in Photoshop afterwards. In my camera bag
For landscape in general I mostly use the 16-35mm F4 from Canon and if I go for night stuff I almost always have the 12mm 2.8 Samyang/Rokinon FishEye with me and the Sigma 20mm 1.4 Art if I want to get away with a few stars in the shots. For portraits I never leave the house without my trusty Sigma 35mm 1.4 Art, Canon 85mm 1.2 II and Canon 135mm F2 :)Feedback
Technical stuff: I really like using Filters for this kind of photography so if you haven't already maybe try some filters. I like to use a mix of Haida and LEE and I'm very happy with them. Compositional stuff: I like this photo because of the the wood in the foreground. Whenever possible try to have a foreground (e.g. piece of wood), middleground (e.g. water & bridge) and background (e.g. clouds) to add more dept in your images.
