I took this one standing at my back door leaning on the stoop. No tripod was used! I love my camera!

Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken out my back door, leaning on the house for stability.

Time

It was perhaps 8 or 8:30 in the evening when I saw a clear shot at the moon. I grabbed the camera near me, a Canon point and shoot with a long digital lens. I zoomed the whole length of the lens and hoped for the best.

Lighting

The lighting was nothing but the natural moon.

Equipment

I used my Canon SX50 HS ‘bridge’ camera zoomed all the way (1200), handheld leaning on the house.

Inspiration

It was just a random shot that turned out to be a happy accident!

Editing

There was no post processing on this picture.

In my camera bag

I have two cameras that I use regularly. A Canon SX50 HS point and shoot. And a Nikon D5200 SLR, with an AF-S Nikkor 55-200 lens, an AF-S Nikkor 18-55 lens, and an AF Nikkor 70-300 manual lens.

Feedback

Always have your camera ready, the card empty, and just frame and shoot.
