I am not a pink fan. Just not my color. But I have to tell you. This image is STUNNING. No other word describes this. Thank you for sharing this.

Behind The Lens
Location
I actually took this photo in my front yard. It was a bud on a green pine tree.Time
I can't remember, but knowing me, it was either first thing in the morning before my kids got up or in the middle of the day when I had a free moment.Lighting
The light was a diffused light because this image was taken on a cloudy day. I do remember that much for sure. Most of the magic comes in the post-processing. The original image was green, which I loved, but the more I looked at it, the more I saw a pastel purple being the color I wanted to highlight because of the yellow bud in the center.Equipment
I used my Nikon D4 and I believe my 105 mm micro lens.Inspiration
The light was just very beautiful on those buds that morning, and I felt inspired to try and take a photo of an ordinary thing in nature and turn it into something beautiful.Editing
Oh yes! A lot. I turned the entire image from green to purple using selective color and color fill layers. In my camera bag
I have my Nikon D810, D4, 70-200 mm lens, and my micro lens.Feedback
Yes. Try to find the beauty in everyday objects. It is so easy to get caught up in finding the perfect models and spending lots of money on creating the perfect session, when sometimes the most beautiful things are the things in nature and right our front door.
