The color and lines in these tulip petals appealed to me. I shot in natural light with black velvet back drop. I wanted to show the inside of the tulip without shooting from the top down. Removing one petal did the trick, adding yellow contrast and the metaphor of the precious parts being safely tucked inside a refuge.
