Behind The Lens

Location

I took this image at my sister in law's wedding. My daughter was the flower girl and we were trying to keep her busy while all the photos were being done on the side of the church.

Time

This was mid afternoon in Charlestown SC.!

Lighting

This was all natural lighting, no flash.

Equipment

This was shot with my trust old D2x, hand held and if I had to guess my 17-35 f2.8 nikkor lens.

Inspiration

Kids make great subjects when they aren't focused on being in a photo. The live in the moment and I was lucky enough to catch this one.

Editing

Basic color correction, a bit of push on the exposure and colors. Nothing more than would have been done in a darkroom.

In my camera bag

Currently my camera bag contains the following; Nikon D850, Nikon 50 f1.8, Nikon 17-35 f2.8, Nikon 70-200 f2.8, Various memory cards, allergy meds, and a stack of tissues.

Feedback

Kids are challenging! (In so many ways) get them to not think about being on camera, ditch the "cheese" and take the pressure out of the equation. Get your self at their level, have fun and relax. Their light will shine through!
