This photo of my Siberian, Mia, was taken in my home.Time
This photo was taken in the evening with some external lighting to highlight her beautiful fur.Lighting
The funny thing about this photo was that it was taken at a time when I did not have more sophisticated technology for lighting. One would get a good laugh watching me set up this shot with LED lanterns, flashlights on a ladder, and some outdoor lighting coming in from a window.Equipment
I used my old Canon Rebel (very old), a 50mm Canon lens, hand held. Oh, and I used cat toys. Important element.Inspiration
I have always enjoyed taking photos of my Siberian cats. It's a challenge to get pets to pose, but that's all part of the fun.Editing
I used minimal post processing at the time, other than some dodge and burn, amping up detail, and cropping. I did not have a lot of technology for editing at the time I shot this photo. In my camera bag
Today, I shoot with a Canon 80D. My favorite lenses are my Tamron 50mm, 85mm, my 400mm long lens, and a wide angle. As well as external flash.Feedback
Just have fun. The more you shoot, the better you'll get. Probably best advice...have your camera nearby and accessible at all times. You can't capture great moments if you don't have your camera with you or if it is an effort to get it ready.
