The sign really takes this photo to another level, up from being just your basic photo of a long straight road. Well spotted! and beautifully photographed. :)

Location
I was driving from Northern California to Florida for Thanksgiving at a friend's and was on Interstate 10 in the middle of nowhere, somewhere in southern Arizona. I felt the urgent need to relieve myself so I pulled off the interstate and drove onto a dirt road where I found this place.Time
This was early in the morning, and very cold.Lighting
Early morning light is my favorite time. I left before sunup so this had to be around 8 A.M.Equipment
I shot this with a Nikon D300s. The lens was a 18-200, 2.6 zoom.Inspiration
What inspired me to take this shot was the curiosity as to what was at the end of the road... and curiosity almost got the better of me, except I was down to 1/4 tank of gas and didn't dare take the chance.Editing
For this I took the standard wide-angle landscape shot. I then squeezed it into the vertical format, masking out the sign to keep it regular. In my camera bag
On Memorial Day, 2017 almost all my camera gear was stolen. Now days I carry a Nikon D7500, Nikon D200, Sigma18-300mm, 2.6 zoom, Nikon 1.56; 50mm, Nikon 70-300mm, tripod, sandbag (great for resting the lens on, like on a rock or anywhere I can't get a tripod into). Flashlight with red filter for night shots, hunting knife (many uses), backup batteries, etc.Feedback
Just keep you eyes and imagination open. You never know what you'll see... all you have to do is look.
