I love this capture for so many reasons, but what sums it up most for me is that it is a beautiful portrait of a magnificent animal. You have captured his spirit, and he seems at peace. Excellent@

Yes, it is confirmed! It is Not camera taking pictures, it is the person behind the camera made pictures

Absolutely STUNNING, and I feel good in saying thats beautiful, knowing it was a wild lion, in ITS OWN World, as it should be. Magnificent capture!

Location
The photo was taken in the world renown Kruger National Park South Africa. One of the best places to photograph wildlife in their natural habitat.Time
I will never forget this day as the pride of Lion was relaxing in the middle of the road. The morning light was just perfect.Lighting
The light was soft on the lion's face and a bit directional which allowed for capturing good detail.Equipment
The photo was taken with a Canon 40d, lens Canon 100 to 400mm at 400mm. Exposure of 1/1000, aperture f5.6 and ISO 640.Inspiration
It is not always easy to get this close to such a beautiful specimen in the wild therefor you just need to take the opportunity and make the best of it.Editing
Limited processing was required other than the usual sharpening and levels. In my camera bag
For wildlife photography in the African bush where it is unsafe to leave the safety of a vehicle, I always ensure I have a bean bag to steady the camera close by. Cleaning equipment is essential and loads of battery power. A flash is indispensable.Feedback
Get close and be patient sooner or later the animal will move and that is when you should be ready for the capture.
