Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken after a coffee meet with some of Melbourne's other Sony photographers. I went for a walk down Beach Street in Port Melbourne with one of Melbourne's finest street photographers Thomas Lim.

Time

The image was taken just after 2pm, on our back to the cars.

Lighting

It was a bright summer's day

Equipment

I used a Sony a7 with the Sony FE 28-70 F3.5-5.6 OSS lens

Inspiration

After our coffee meet Thomas asked if anyone wanted to go on a photo walk. Me being new to photography, I was keen. But I wanted to go take photo's of Princes Pier. Thomas said he had been there done that too many times, another member told told me to shadow Thomas and take in as much as you can, so I did. I saw this lady walking towards us, and I thought straight away she would make a great subject in a photo. After trying to take in as much as I could from Thomas, he told me to go for it

Editing

This was edited in Lightroom. I didn't do a lot to it. Just raised the clarity, brought down the highlights and lowered the exposure

In my camera bag

Just my Sony a7 and my 28-70mm
