Dear Diana,
My Name is Timbo Connard, from Beckley, West Virginia, a Curator for ViewBug by Invitation. I was TUMBLING thru My Assignments when this LOVELY Autumn Scene appeared before My eyes!!! It is a Magnificent Photo & HIGHLY Represents MANY Woodland Trails in the Mountain State of West Virginia (My HOME for Fifty-five Years)!!! You have captured the Fall Colours in their SIMPLICITY (NOT OVERSTATED) and the Morning Mist at ITS most "PHOTOGENIIC & COOPERATIVE" State. I feel that I SHOULD inform You, however, that My Cousin from Lebanon, Missouri ENHANCES My Images with a Google Play App that has an Image ALMOST IDENTICAL to YOURS. I mention it JUST IN CASE You have no COPYRIGHT PROTECTION in Place (Such as DIGIMARC). You have an OUTSTANDING Portfolio & I would PROTECT It at ANY Cost!!! Your ViewBug Friend, Timbo Connard, 2 Timothy 1:7

Location
This photograph was taken during a lovely autumn in Buces-Vulcan,Hunedoara,Romania .Time
I was in a little trip with two of my photographer friends . I remember walking through the woods trying to catch something that could reflect the beauty of this season. This shot was taken around 10AM in the morning on 25 Octomber 2015 .Lighting
It was a foggy morning and the sun wasn't yet on the top of the sky .As a result, the light was just perfect to make the image look more mystically . I did took like 10 shots of this location as I was trying to view it from the best angle . I didn't used a tripod but I remember how my friends laughed at me because I was trying to stay still to take this shot without shaking the camera.Equipment
This was shot with a Nikon D3100 + AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR lens , on manual mode. I did not use a tripod but I would have prefer to use it .Inspiration
The road , the colorful trees and the fog behind them were the basic tools which had caught my eye. Therefore , I was trying to link them together to catch the viewer's attention, exactly as that beautiful place took mine .Editing
As I did took the photo in RAW format , I made the basic adjustments of the contrast, lights , shadows , color balance ,saturation . After that I created another layer in which I lowered the brightness and I increased a bit the contrast. On the same layer I used the brush tool to light up back just the road and the foggy zone behind of those trees. In my camera bag
For start I always have my Nikon D3100 with the 18-55mm lens (it goes by Rocky as well haha). I also pack up the 55-200mm lens which I had bought them last November . There comes the accesories that I should never forget about So I have an UV filter and a circular polarization filter , the lens-hood which goes for the 55-200mm , some dry and wet wipes and the second SDcard . Normally , I do have my tripod with me as well but in the morning I took this photo I sadly forgot it home ( lucky me that I ain't too shaky )Feedback
Well, don't forget the tripod as I did because it might help you along the way .I know that sometimes it is an inconvenient and you are tired of carrying it but as I like to say "no pain ,no gain " . When you are going to go out with your camera at this time in the morning, especially in the woods where the light is not so powerful you might have to high up the ISO which will quite make your photo noisy ( this is in case you don't have a larger diaphragm like 2.8 or something like that ) . You must to get lost in the magic of what you see and try to express what you feel through your photographs . Try several angles , look outside the viewfinder to see the more of the beauty around so you can build up the entire composition .Good luck and keep it up !
