Location
The National Eagle Center, in Wabasha, MN.Time
If I remember correctly it was around noon, on a very cool day in February.Lighting
The lighting was just from the center.Equipment
My camera that I used was my Nikon D7200, and my Tamron 16-300 mm. I'm in love with both product manufacturers.Inspiration
This was the first golden eagle I'd ever seen. His name is Donald. He doesn't fly any longer due to being injured while out in the wild.Editing
Yes, I usually tough my photos in Lightroom, with the enhancements that seem to fit my eye. I always like it when I just sit back, and say "WOW"!In my camera bag
My equipment I have in my bag, hmmmmmm, well, at this time I've upgraded to a full frame camera, Nikon D750, and carry my D7200 as my backup. I also have a 28-300mm for the D750, and carry my 1-300mm for my D7200 as well. I also carry my Tamron 70-200, along with my 24-70, and sometimes my 150-600 depending on where, and what time of day I may be shooting. I also carry my tripod, cable releases, external flash, 3 extra batteries, and 5 64 gb memory cards.Feedback
This eagle is in captivity at the center, so unless something has happened to him, he is on display often, along with others. At the center there is a observation deck to view eagles flying in their natural habitat. The Mississippi river is right there as well. Wisconsin is on the other side as well. When were up there, we live in Okla., and when another eagle get close they start screaming to try to scare the other ones off. So get ready to try to catch one in flight. I plan to go back on out annual trip to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
