Icelandic horses are beautiful animals, and this was the first foal I had seen on my trip.Editing
The image was processed in Capture NX2 and then moved to PS CS5 Extended to remove a person overlapping the right side of the horseIn my camera bag
I no longer have my D700. It was replaced first by a D810 and then by a Z7. So my bag carries my Z7 with the FTZ, new Z lens covering 14-30 f/4 and 24-70 f/4. I also carry, depending on what I am doing a 24-120 f/4 lens and my 300 mm f/4 PF lens. I still have my 70-200 f/2.8 lens.Feedback
This is a good example of what you can run into when you travel on a tour not designed for photographers. Usually, you will not shoot in ideal light, the worst times are around noon as with this image. You also have to contend with other people who are taking pictures, and you don't have the luxury of waiting around for the ideal situation as your tour is moving. Also in this case the mare and foul were right at the fence line rather than a few feet back, so I had no choice but to include the fence. Finally, there was a person on the right who overlapped the horse that required post-processing to remove her. So take lots of images from different vantage points keeping in mind leaving some space if you need to make post-processing edits.
