I used to be able to walk to and from work, just 5 blocks apart, in Springfield, Missouri. This was taken on one of their most beautiful streets famous for older homes, Walnut Street.Time
I was walking to work so it was about 7:45 am.Lighting
I love to capture shots like these in Autumn, in their natural light. I like the juxtaposition of the nature vs man made, the leaf vs the concrete and blacktop. Also, I love the contrasts in colors and textures.Equipment
Only used my camera. And it was my camera on my cell phone, at that, an Optimus by LG.Inspiration
I love to capture the beauty and color of Fall in the leaves. Any time I see them, and their positioned like this one, so perfectly, geometrically placed, I try to shoot them.Editing
I merely cropped, highlighted the color a bit and then darkened it.In my camera bag

My only advice to anyone wanting to photograph is to look for what you love and if you see it, shoot it, then and there. Look for color, look for juxtaposition. Again, look for what turns your eye and then get it the best way you know.
