Went down to the bridge early morning to shoot sunrise. However the fog took over the bridge.

Behind The Lens

Location
This photo was taken from Blues Point Reserve on Sydney Harbour. We were waiting for the sunrise as the mist rolled in. The spot is famous for sun rises as it will give you the Bridge and the Opera House in one shot.
Time
It was very early 5am on the 25 of October 2014. Cold and misty morning.
Lighting
The light was not much, before sunrise and foggy. Shutter speed used was 30 seconds.
Equipment
Canon 40D Canon L 17-24mm Aperture: f/9 ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 30/1 Focal Length: 17/1 Tripod
Inspiration
I was following the Canon Collective. They organised a lot of photographic outings. For a relatively new 'Sydney sider' you learn the places to go and discover great spots. When we arrived at the spot it was completely dark, 5am, by the time the sun came up the mist rolled in and the bridge disappeared in the mist. I loved what I saw and started shooting, this was a rare chance to see the bridge in the mist.
Editing
The usual, sharpening, brighting and clarity.
In my camera bag
Bodies, Canon 40d, Canon 5d Mark IV, Canon 17-40 1:4.0, Canon 24-105 1:4.0, Canon 50mm 1.4, Canon 40mm 2.8, Canon 70-300 5.6, Complete set Nisi filters, Manfrotto Tripod
Feedback
Keep your eyes out on the weather forecast and do not be afraid of getting out of bed and dress well because it can be pretty cold in October
