this type of images can get you in trouble if you sale it. It is copyrighted material. Not sure if you knew that. You should send it to Converse and pitch a gig with them. It is great!

Love the POV and shallow depth of field. Very creative, making the ordinary not so ordinary,

Behind The Lens

This photo was taken in Sofia the capital of Bulgaria- small country in eastern Europe. I am a hobby photographer and I have passion for shooting people- mainly portraits but also fashion and street.
It was a beautiful sunny day in the middle of September. The picture was taken several hours before sunset.
The weather was slightly overcast which is always good for photographers. I tend to use only natural light and this image was no exception.
This was shot on a Nikon D7000 with the Samyang 85 1.4 Lens at 1/320, f/1.4, ISO 100.
I wanted to show the great colors of the autumn in an environmental portrait. I chose a friend of mine as a model and we decided that a good old pair of wine red sneakers would make the perfect match for the colourful nature and trees during the autumn. Later I realised that this pair of shoes are a great detail to work with. They are among the most iconic models for the past decades and the color just stands out. I tried several perspectives capturing the leaves around but in the end the shoes alone remained the star of this photo.
I shoot only in raw so typical post- processing as colors, tones and contrast was needed. The depth of field is produced only by the wide aperture lens so the main object was beautifully separated from the background. I added a bit of vignetting because with the central composition it added more contrast and matched well with the dark colored jeans.
In my camera bag
I believe that being limited opens up your creativity. Thats why I like simple and light equipment. I have only primes in my bag. 24mm, 50mm and 85mm lenses are enough for the most situations. My favourite lens at the moment is the Samyang 85 1.4 which has great performance for the price. Wide open it creates magic and the bokeh is superb. There is also something special in manual focus lenses that lets you slow down and be more involved in the process of creating. And for a camera I am using Nikon D7000 APS-C body, which I found very capable despite the age and has never let me down so far.
I would say that the most important thing is to have fun and let your imagination works. And of course great friends with whom you can share the passion for photography.(oh and some nice pair of sneakers might be helpful :)
