Location
The Bee Hummingbird. I took this photo while I was on vacation in Costa Rica. I was visiting the La Paz Waterfall Gardens when I noticed this little guy.Time
The day was overcast i'd say mid-afternoon. So as long as you're on the right side of the sun exposure generally is optimal.Lighting
Again it was overcast but the sun did find it's way at times so a lot of little camera setting changes from time to time.Equipment
I was using my Canon 7D MarkII with my new sigma 150-600 contemporary lens while mounted on a MeFoto RoadTrip Travel Tripod Kit Green.Inspiration
Photographing new places and things inspires me, but birds in particular is all the detail. The great natural light and awesome surroundings of that day. Capturing such a beautiful little bird and all it's detail inspires me to do it all again.Editing
A little post-processing goes a long way . I almost alway color correct and sharpen. In my camera bag
Oh geez. What don't I have in my bag! Let me grab it a list whats in there. 1. Canon 7D Mark II 2. Canon 24-105mm 3. Sigma 150mm macro 4. Sigma 150-600mm contemporary 5. Tamron 10-24mm wide angle 6. Know your camera !! Know how to set it up for the lighting conditions of that day. Have the right lens. Take as many pictures as you can !! Can't say it enough. Have fun doing it.
