Thank you, Viewbug, for featuring me! :D

Behind The Lens

Location
This is an alleyway in Petaluma, California.
Time
This is probably around midnight. We had just finished a fashion photo shoot and decided to have some fun before we packed everything away.
Lighting
I used three speed lights with the F-Stopper's diffusion disc on each. This is the first night we were able to play with them.
Equipment
This is handheld with a Sony NEX-7 and three Yongnuo speedlights with F-Stopper's discs. One of the speed lights is up above on a modified painter's pole.
Inspiration
I've seen many levitation photos and wanted to try it out, especially now that I had enough speedlights to create the photo I wanted.
Editing
This photo remarkably required very little post processing. I usually have to spend some time with corrections and adjustments, but this was very ready out of the camera, other than being cropped.
In my camera bag
I now have a Sony A7RII, 16-35mm f/4, 55mm f/1.8, and a 70-200mm f/4. I have graduated and regular filters, as well as cleaning gear. I jump around genres quite a bit, so I tend to carry a full arsenal for any situation that presents itself.
Feedback
Flashes are a must for catching images like this. I used to be big on natural light and shied away from flashes, but they can be your best friend.
