This photo was taken in my back garden. I was sitting having an early morning coffee and saw the sun shine on the droplets and just had to get the camera.Time
Fresh morning after some rain.Lighting
Natural lighting on an overcast morningEquipment
I only had my 50D back then but I had just bought the canon macro and was experimenting with it.Inspiration
It was just so beautiful, the rain drops were like diamonds strung on this already amazing web created by a creature I fear but am in awe of for its creative designs so perfect.Editing
I darkend the background slightly just by adjusting the levels to make the drops jump out more.In my camera bag
Now I have a Canon 5d MarkII, Canon 70-200 L series Zoom lense, Canon 24-105 L series Portrait lense. If I'm heading into the hills to photography flowers I will take my 100m Canon Macro and I should take a tripod but I never do. Always shoot hand held as like the freedom of changing position and shooting at any angle.Feedback
Don't just look at things and shoot, be passionate about it, truly see it for what it is, its shape, texture, taste, colour, the way it moves, and feel the shot.
