Location
Taken in my little home studio. The book was one Virginia had in her bag. So she really read it and both of us had a quite relaxed shooting I guess. I still know which author it was because it surprised me a bit to see her reading Platon..Time
We had the shooting late in the evening I think which is the normal time to be creative in Berlin.Lighting
I prefer permanent light, one single source in this case. Sometimes I really love the yellowish light of a really old and simple slide projector.Equipment
A Pentax K-3 is my tool of choice and I love to shoot with a 35mm F2.4.Inspiration
I wanted to show Virginia being herself in a private situation and feeling comfortable, which brings out her natural beauty.Editing
I try to do postprocessing really carefully. And I don't like varnished surfaces, nobody is perfect.In my camera bag
The 35mm fix of course, a little zoom 18 - 50mm and sometimes a 100mm fix. Spare batteries, sd-cards and a brush. Sometimes a second camera in spare. And a little tripod.Feedback
Use a tripod and allow yourself to play around with the light. Be patient, let the model do and watch. For me it is always a process between the model and me, some of the photos i like most came out of the situation.
