I created a series of photos of authors dressed as characters from literature, for Wigtown Book Festival. Polly said she had a tweed jacket, some plus-fours, a friend who could do face make-up, and a compliant chicken (see under her arm). It also turned out she had some rare-breed sheep who wandered up to see what was going on.
