I really like the use of the wide angle lens here but feel like I'm leaning to the right while looking at it...? (which I sorta do anyway when I'm shooting so much it's almost having a macro just to straighten them)

Behind The Lens

Location

This was in Union Station in Downtown Denver, CO.

Time

It was about 4ish or so and the sun was beaming down. Amazed I got something out of this with the light that was present.

Lighting

Got lucky.

Equipment

This photo was taken with a Panasonic LUMIX DMC-GH4 and a Rokinon 7.5mm F3.5 micro four thirds fisheye lens.

Inspiration

I wanted to experiment with a different perspective and took out only the wide angle lens for the day to challenge myself to create more space in my images. I wanted to open up the world for the day and this lens was the perfect way to do it.

Editing

I shot RAW and did slight grading in Lightroom. Mainly lowering highlights a bit, raising shadows slightly, adjusting my blacks and whites ever so slightly, as well as a small bump in clarity. Nothing too crazy.

In my camera bag

A set of Pentax prime lenses with a metabones adapter. My GH4. My 7.5mm and a Tokina 11-16mm as of late. Random assortment of equipment with a lot of video tools as well.

Feedback

Go find a space that is already large and use the wide angle lens to your advantage to open up the surroundings and make it seem larger than it is. Sometimes you can really play off of a lens' distortion and get interesting results.
