Congrats on your win, excellent composition, I like the softness and mystery you've introduced into the frame, great job.

love that light. Well composed. May be you can use the same location and light and shoot a Rembrandt portrait..

Location
This photo was taken in an abandoned train yard in Hamburg, Pennsylvania.Time
This was taken at 5:54 p.m. on December 6th, 2015. The sun had just disappeared from the sky leaving very little available light.Lighting
While we were on our way to this location, I realized that I had forgotten most of my lighting equipment, a noob mistake. But we were racing against time because it was almost sunset. I decided that this is a great opportunity to test my camera's ISO capabilities. This was shot at ISO 4000 with an 50mm f/1.8 and there was very little light available. I was amazed at the results.Equipment
This was shot with a Canon EOS 5D Mark III and a 50mm f/1.8. No other equipment.Inspiration
Angel and I have been good friends for a while. Just before I left the United States for good, she came to bid me farewell. Since her and I share the same passion for photography we decided to go on a photo adventure. I came home with this picture and a few others. It was a good day.Editing
Initial RAW processing with Adobe Camera RAW and then few color adjustments with Photoshop CS6. I was planning on making this a black and white picture but decided to retain some colors. So I added a touch of sepia shade for a more vintage look.In my camera bag
Canon EOS 5D Mark III and my trusty little 50mm f/1.8. It's too small and light weight to leave behind. Plus it's an amazing lens. I also carry EF 17-40mm f/4 L USM, EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM, EF 100mm f/2.8L IS USM Macro, and EF 70-300mm f/4.0-5.6 L IS USM. The 24-105mm has become my new favorite due to its quality, and range. It's almost always attached to my camera.Feedback
Technically speaking, I've been avoiding high ISO speeds for a long time. But I've come to realize that noisy pictures are better than blurry pictures. Don't hesitate to crank up your ISO when needed and it will open a whole new range of possibilities for you.
