This photo was taken in a forest in Holland, in the middle of the path where enough leaves were lying on the ground.Time
The photo was taken oct. 29, 2015 around 13.00 pm.Lighting
I thought the light was beautiful on the moment I took the picture. I love to take photos with backlight and always try to catch rimlight on the child.Equipment
This shot was taken with a Canon 5D Mk III with a Sigma 70-200 mm, f/2.8 objective.Inspiration
With halloween I think of the color orange and pumpkins. I just bought this antique cart and because my little son was small the cart look heavier and bigger, so also the pumpkins. I wanted to suggest that he went to get some pumpkins all by himself.Editing
In my post-processing I have to lighten up the boy. I also did some blurring on the background and make the colors, especially the orange, more vibrant. In my camera bag
I always use my Canon 5D Mark III. When I take pictures of children I prefer my Sigma 70-200 mm, f/2.8. Further I have my Canon 50 mm, f1.4 in my bag.Feedback
I always love the difference in the seasons and making pictures in the forest, because of the lighting (the sun rays through the trees). When you make the pictures, look for the light. When its autumn and the sun is less bright, I let the person stand in a light ray and when it's very bright I put the child in a shadowed spot, because otherwise the child will be overexposed. And like I told before, I prefer backlight. The child will be a little under exposed on your SOOC, but this can be correct in your post-processing.
