too many winters

An Abandoned Farm House in Frederick County Maryland just West of the township of Mount Airy. ( I believe it is in Frederick County; Mount Airy sits on the borders of Carroll, Frederick, and Howard Counties, with Montgomery County just a mile or two away.

Unrelated to this photo, an explanation of how i award other photographers images: I asked Viewbug for guidelines or definitions of the various awards, and they stated that it was at the discretion of each photographer to define them. That said, for me, "Supurb Composition" is the capture of a decisive or beautiful moment as an image, with a high level of technical expertise. "Creativity" would be the next level up, building on the technical skills required for a quality image, and adding a "signature" of sorts by the photographer in the creation of the photo. "Absolute Masterpiece" is currently my highest award as a non-paying member of the Viewbug community. "Absolute Masterpiece combines all of the aspects of the previos two awards, into a highly memorable and all but flawless image, demonstrating the photographers advanced skills and controls over the subject. "Love It" is somewhat allusive for me to define. it can be a technicllly flawed image, or perfect, that defies easy explanation of it high value, or it simply calls out to me on an emotional level making critque difficult for me. Occasionally i "heart" and-or merely like an image. This group of images is rare for me, and the photo can have various flaws and values. it may be technically perfect, but composed in a manner that has been done before. it could be a slightly flawed image from a technical point of view, but is composed with a certain creatvity that overcomes any minor technical flaws to make it a image of value. "top Choice" is also a difficult catagory for me to define. These are images i might not be passionate about, but reccognize for their high level of skill, composition or creativity; much like "Love it" but with less clarity or explanation for myself.
