Behind The Lens

Location

Cobden, ON, Canada

Time

Afternoon on a cloudy winter day

Lighting

Cloudy day so up the exposure a bit in photoshop elements 13 to pop out the yellow eyes

Equipment

Canon rebel t3i with canon 100-400mmL lens, handheld

Inspiration

I love owls! They are so majestic and on a day-to-day basis are so hard to find due to their great camouflage system. The snowy owl was my first ever sighting of an owl!

Editing

I did some post-processing in Photoshop Elements 13. Like up the exposure to pop up the eyes and crop

In my camera bag

Flash and kit lens 18-55mm as my 100-400mmL lens is almost always on my camera! I dont do much landscape photography but would love to once i get a betger lens for this.

Feedback

Inspect farm fields for snowy owls in the winter but Stay in your car, dont chase the owls. They need a lot of energy to migrate and everytime you chase it away by going out of your car, it uses its energy that was for hunting.
