I think you were able to capture the beauty of the girl along with a wonderful location. the colors and light of this photo make it magical. I wouldn't stop looking it. the girl's pose makes her even more beautiful. My best compliments for this successful shot.

This photo was taken in Cologne near the river Rhine.Time
The temperature was pretty warm for that time. Actually we had planned to shoot at an earlier time but we all probably know it: you haven’t seen a friend for a longer time and then you talk and talk. Time’s passing slowly and voila - suddenly it’s 2 or 3 hours later. But anyway this photo was taken on September 19, 2015 at 6:49 PM.Lighting
I’m a big fan of back light. I don’t know why but in my opinion it adds something more depths and a movie-like scenario. Otherwise I haven’t use any flash units.Equipment
My camera is a Canon 550D with an 50mm f/1.4 lens. These were the only equipments.Inspiration
In photography I find a pleasant way to deal with my thoughts and feelings. It’s like a catalyst for me. One month before I’ve met someone new and fall in love with that person. Since life is not like a movie many things don’t end with a happy end. Shortly after this happening I’ve googled the beautiful french term „La douleur exquise“ - „The heart-wrenching pain of wanting someone you can’t have.“ It described very well my situation - especially how I felt - and was the inspiration for the series with the same name. The pictures were edited and uploaded in black and white at the first time. But I chose to upload some results in color and this one was one of the few selections.Editing
I retouched her skin a little bit. Laura - that’s the name of this beautiful girl - has a very clean skin so I had not to do much. I don’t use any filter presets. I prefer to change everything by myself. I have added more blue shades. The colors were in original warm but the photo was a little bit too dark because of the back light. So I’ve brighten it up. With color balance I have did the fine adjustment for the colors. And! I have lowered the saturation a little bit.In my camera bag
I’m a student and like many other students I don’t have much money. In my bag are normally three things: the Canon EOS 550D, the 50mm f/1.4 lens and a polarizing filter for the lens.Feedback
Try to understand how your model feels. Trust is very important if you want to shoot „honest“ and laid-back photos. Show sometimes the works you’ve made with your model and make compliments if he/she has done a good job! Don’t give your model a „just another model“ - show him/her that he/she is special and beautiful but don’t overact.
