Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken near my brother's house in the Island of Crete, Rethymno in Greece.

Time

This is probably one of my favorite images till now. I remember was actually funny how it happened. We were driving back home with my parents and i said to my dad stop stop I need to take this photo as the sun was going down and were driving over the hill outside Rethymno. Had no tripod so I had to balance the camera to make it perfect. It was taken on 23rd of July at 7:42pm.

Lighting

I didn't use any flash only natural light from the amazing panoramic view.

Equipment

This was shot on a Canon EOS 1100D, with an 18-55mm lens.

Inspiration

The amazing colours and the challenge to shoot behind the wild plant.

Editing

Normally I do but on this occasion the photograph was in perfect colours.

In my camera bag

I always have my Canon EOS 1100D an external flash and few filter lenses.

Feedback

Always try to find the perfect spot, be patient and wait for the right time to capture the moment. Look the photo as an overall frame rather than only the sunset.
