Behind The Lens

Location

The setting sun over the enjoy paddocks near my home the day after we moved in.

Time

Early evening, just as I arrived home.

Lighting

I find the sunsets in the fall here amazing - once the farmers harvest, the red soil is exosed for miles around us, resulting in spectacular red reflected sunsets.

Equipment

This one was taken on my old cannon eos 450.it was shot in a hurry before I lost the colour and light show, so the camera was sitting on my garbage bin, no time for a tripod!

Inspiration

It's one of my favourite photos, as it felt like the universe welcoming us to the area.

Editing

I cropped it in aviary, wanting to keep only the deepest orange red section of original.

In my camera bag

Small beanbag to stablize camera when I'm in a hurry or in places the tripod won't fit. Granola bar for those days I lose track of time.

Feedback

Shoot in farmland, late in fall, take advantage of the more intense colours of Sunsets at that time of year.
