I have walked past this home for five years and have taken hundreds of photos of this residence. Thanks to persistence and the almost free frames digital cameras offer today, I have this photo after a blowing snowstorm enhanced the scene to share with you.
This newer New Mexico house is wrapped with a sinuous stucco coat that softens its edges and becomes unified by the monochromatic scheme. You can see the disciplines of modern architecture — crisp lines — merging with influences from the past. Though this style is attributed to prior Native American dwellings, its attributes are found in Mexico, Spain and North Africa. Details are simple and minimal, and though the relationship to Spanish colonial is evident, the translation has a massing freely aligned into the wandering configuration that's characteristic of the hacienda style.

The snow is what helped highlight all the curves of the adobe, making this much more interesting even if it does scream cold.
