That's a cool photo, would you mind entering in my Predator Vs Prey photo challenge? Thanks!

Behind The Lens

Location
This photo was taken in the Masai Mara, Kenya. One of three cheetah brothers had recently been killed by lions, leaving the two poorer hunters to fend for themselves. I sat with them for five or so hours, trying to hunt wildebeest. This photo was on the fourth attempt at hunting, with the targeted wildebeest turning to head straight towards my vehicle. This wildebeest was caught, but sadly then taken by hyena.
Time
The photo was taken early afternoon. The day was cloudy with showers and hence the light wasn't overly bright.
Lighting

Equipment
It was shot on a beanbag, using the canon 7d, canon 300mm f2.8 IS f2.8 mk1 with a 1.4x convertor.
Inspiration
I have a love for wildlife photography and try to spend as much time as possible in Kenya as well as other areas of the world.
Editing
I've done very little post processing. The RAW file has had minimal cropping and I have made small adjustments to the exposure.
In my camera bag
The majority of photos I take are of wildlife. So I generally have a few bodies with a long fixed length lens plus convertor and a wide angle.
Feedback
Ensure you go on safari with a camp that specialises in photographers, has great guides and put in the time with the animals. You start to learn more about their behaviour (so you can predict what they may do). And If you put the time and patience in, they may sleep for hours but then....
