Location
This photo was taken in the city of Lisbon, Portugal. At Algés, near the well known Torre de Belém (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bel%C3%A9m_Tower). On the left, Tagus River, with Caparica Beach at the horizon. On the right, the Atlantic Ocean begins.Time
This was taken on december 2015, just before New Year, around 18h.Lighting
The lighting was fabulous, with some clouds at the horizon.Equipment
Nikon D7000 with kit lens 18-105mm and 2 filters: cheap Circular Polarizer ant ND-10. And a tripod, of course, for the long expo. Didn´t have my remote, used timer function instead.Inspiration
With a friend we were looking to take some images with long expo, near the ocean or Tagus river. This pontoon seemed ideal for this type of photo. I especially liked to take this picture at the soil, just above a SMALL water puddle :-)Editing
Very little post-processing on my iPad. Some contrast, clarity, and vibrance was added. Nothing more if I remember well :-)In my camera bag
I onlly have the D7000 with me on my travels. Also a gopro for some underwater work. Please see my profile for those images of underwater project, that begun with a siren costume ...Feedback
For this sort of image, long expo, don't forget the remote trigger (or use timer) and tripod. Patience ... Patience ... Give it some time, experiment, change camera settings ... Experiment ... Patience ... Patience ... Try some low level position/angle like this one ... Wait for days with some clouds at the sunset ... Hope this helps :-)
