This was on new years eve 2016, the place is called Drift Creek and is my favorite places to catch huge salmon, just to get to the trail head you need a 4x4. And then you must say your prayers due to the climb down to this spot will kill you if you miss step on the trail down to the river, this is why I never run into anyone when I go fishing or on this day was to catch the sun just as it was hitting the river at 7am with a temp of 30 degrees. I saw this when I was fishing one morning with a friend and swore to god I would come back and catch this as it happened, and I did it!!!!! I can not tell you how many people on fb told me this was one of a kind and now it's hanging in a Prudential real estate office here in Lincoln City, OR. For some reason everyone who see this loves this...Time
