Behind The Lens

Location

this photo was taken at my studio

Time

This photo was taken during the day

Lighting

I wanted to show a silhouette so I place a remote flash in front of the model

Equipment

Nikon D750 w Nikon 24-70mm F2.8, nikon SB 800 fired using Elinchrom Skyport radio triggers

Inspiration

We were just experimenting and I wanted to get the outline of the headphones worn on my model's head

Editing

Photoshop CS6 and Nik Software SIlver FX PRO for the B&W effect

In my camera bag

Nikon D750 and newly purchased Nikon D810, Sigma 50mm, Sigma ART 24-105, Nikon 24-70 F2.8, Tokina wide angle 16-24 F2.8

Feedback

I used a black background muslin and single light source. We had to make a few attempts at aiming the remote flash and using a snoot also helps to direct the light in a more concentrated area.
