I took this photo standing on the back porch of my house.Time
It was about 10 pm, I had just received a camera as an early Christmas gift from my wife, I wanted to try it out taking some photos of the Moon.Lighting
Had to turn the brightness way down, I used a cloudy day setting, as I generally always do with my outdoor photography.Equipment
Just hand-held the camera, used a Canon Rebel T5 with a Canon 200mm zoom lens.Inspiration
I love stargazing, and have tried taking photos of the Moon before with point-and-shoot cameras, but was never able to pull it off well.Editing
Just copped the photo to enlarge the subject. In my camera bag
My awesome Canon Rebel T5 with an 18-55 mm lens and a 70-300 mm zoom lens, a lens cleaning kit, a couple of SD cards, an extra battery, and that is about all.Feedback
Basically just keep the brightness low, be patient and relaxed while shooting, and use a cloudy setting if you are like me and use a mixture of auto and manual camera functions.
