Some of the worlds most beautiful things come in small packages. This is a beautiful capture! I love the flow and how the water beads up on the blade.

Behind The Lens

Location

It was on a lunch hour with my husband, and we sat off the bluffs of Fort Bragg California, there had been a heavy fog the previous night, and a pocket of coastal "curly Grass, had not yet dried out from the sun.

Time

Noon

Lighting

Noon on the coast can be a blessing or a hardship, because this particular photo was just coming into the sun it was nice and crispy.

Equipment

I used a small point and click Fuji finepix camera

Inspiration

I love vortex, dew, and spirals

Editing

The photo comes from a Photograph which was ten times larger, I cropped the image, and darkened it and use a small enhancement of green/red hue. I have the original copy of the larger Photo if you wish to use it. I used a simple photo Editor Picassa.

In my camera bag

at all times I have a camera and extra batteries

Feedback

Look for uniqueness, don't worry about framing your pic with the lens, (Unless a contest or representation calls for true capture "as is"). Take several shots if you can from different angles. Think about the images for a while, and pay attention to composition. For may years I have had only small pocket 'point and click' cameras. and even with the sub standard lens variations, you can still get great images. Get to know your camera well, each camera has different traits, some traits will e exceptional, and others traits may be 'fluff'.
