This is the male olive-backed sunbird (Cinnyris jugularis), or yellow-bellied sunbird, a species of sunbird found from Southern Asia to Australia. This young male comes out in the early evening hours to feed on the flowers of the Peacock Flower( Caesalpinia pulcherrima) growing in my garden. Picture taken in my garden. The forehead, throat and upper breast of the adult male is a dark, metallic blue-black.
