This photo was taken in my dinning room are.Time
It was early morning and I was looking for something creative to do. I had my coffee and I was ready to go. My husband just bought me some beautiful flowers and the morning sunlight just happened to hit them right.Lighting
I ddin't use anything other than natural light. The leaf with the droplet of water was in direct light. This is what made everything else turn out so dark.Equipment
I was currently using my Olympus EMF 5 Mark II. I was using my new 60mm macro lens. Since the lighting was just right, a flash was not needed.Inspiration
I always seem to be inspired to take lot of photos when my husband buys me flowers. He always seems to find something different and I want to capture that.Editing
For the post-processing, I desaturated the photo to give it more of a detailed look. I also played around with the brightness/contrast as well.In my camera bag
At the time I didn’t have a flash for my camera. I simply used my Olympus OMD EMF 5 Mark II. I absolutely love this mirrorless camera. I was previously working with a Canon camera and lenses. However, caring around the camera, lenses and all other equipment just got so heavy for me. You see, I’m a small girl and sometimes, smaller is better. Switching to Olympus was one of the best decisions I have made. Not only is my camera bag lighter, I also get higher quality images. Along with the Olympus, I used a 60mm macro lens.Feedback
I would say, to choose lighting first. This is most important to me. Once you have your lighting just right, go for the composition then background. Lighting is key! Oh and always... HAVE FUN!
