Location
I took this photo in Chennai back in December or November of 2015. The poor bird had accidentally flown into the house and I wanted to try and take a few photos of it before I sent it on its way.Time
It was taken at night.Lighting
Since I had a hard time taking the photo of the bird due to it constantly flying around, I had to keep taking photos so lightning and composition were not in my hands. It was a spur of the moment thing.Equipment
I used a Nikon D 5200 with a 50 mm 1.8/g prime.Inspiration
This bird is so beautiful and since it had flown into my house, I had a great chance of getting g close to it and taking some shots. I had to literally run around the rooms taking its photo before finally coaxing it towards the door.Editing
The post processing was minimal, some increases in the contrast. In my camera bag
I usually use my Nikon D 5200, 50 mm prime lens along with my 18- 55 mm kit lens. I also own a tripod which I used to take low shutter speed photos.Feedback
Always make sure you move slowly around animals. Quick movements will agitate them. Be slow and think about your shot. If that is not the case like me, it's your earlier practice which will help you out. What I mean by that is, the time spent in taking multiple photos will help you make that split second decision.
