Skye is heaven, absolutely. Sadly, my body just wouldn't let me get this close to the Old Man to get anything close to this beautiful show.

Been there, done that. My holiday snaps don't compare. This is an extraordinary image depicting an extraordinary landscape. Well done.

On my bucket list, if I ever get back to the Isle of Skye. How challenging was the hike to this vantage point? Can you drive part of the way up there? Great shot!!!

You need to walk from main road and parking area. but it is not particularly challenging. It can take one hour of slow walk. First part of hike is perhaps most steep, then it is just a nice hike.

Very sweeping view which draws you in. I can think of some battles that may have been fought here. Excellent job!

Scotland is high on my bucket list, this image illustrates the raw beauty of its landscapes; the need to go there is getting bigger and bigger, stunning photograph!

Looks as if it could be part of The Lord of the Rings movies...

The jutting mountains frustrate me cause they angle and haven't formed straight! OCD moment...

The Old Man of Storr is a rock formation on Skye, in Scotland. A nice hike on a stunningly beautiful island.Time
It was a fairly early morning, I think around *830 am in late autumn.Lighting
The magic of Skye island is connected to its light. Soft, luminescent light creates amazing scenery.Equipment
I dragged with me my Nikon D800 with 24-70 f2.8 lens. A heavy brick, but resolution is nice. A CPL filter helped with saturated colours.Inspiration
It is hard NOT to be inspired when visiting Skye. I know I will love it, but it was even more magical than I expected. A heaven for photographers.Editing
There was relatively little post-processing, at least as for my typical work. Just cropping, correcting light in Lightroom, and enhancing a bit of tonal contrast and saturation in photoshop. In my camera bag
In which one? When possible, I have with me lots of stuff, as I never know what I may use. Main bag would include Nikon D800, 34-70 lens, 20mm prime lens, 14mm wide angle, polarizer filter, gold and blue polarizer, neutral density filter, remote trigger, batteries and so on. This goes with me everywhere. and if I can, I also have 70-200mm lens, a tripod, a drone with another small camera and all equipment for that. My sore back pays the price for this load.Feedback
a trip to Skye can be an amazing experience. Go off season in autumn. less visitors - it can be badly crowded in summer. And autumn light will do miracles for you. rent a car, take your time exploring, have a tripod if you like long exposure photos, and you will return with some fabulous material!!!
