Location
This photo was taken 100 yards from our driveway. I normally carry one of my cameras with me and we have such a large population of mule deer they have become familiar with me talking to them. I stopped my truck and said hey fellas and whistled, this is how they posed.Time
Photo was taken at 7:40am after I was getting home from working the nightshift as a 911 dispatcher.Lighting
I honestly didn't even look at my lighting situation, I just whistled and said hey fellas, snapped the photo.Equipment
I used my Canon 80D and just stopped my truck, snapped the photo.Inspiration
I love talking to the animals, and some of them are quite used to me slowing down or stopping so these three just happened to pose quite nicely for me.Editing
NoIn my camera bag
I usually have one of my camera bodies with me and a small zoom lens for whatever may present itself.Feedback
Sometimes it's being in the right place at the right time and other times it is knowing their movement. Some of these deer I could tell you where they will be at a certain time of day, creatures of habit.
