The coast as seen from Cueva del Indio in Arecibo, Puerto Rico.
20 years living in Puerto Rico, and I had never seen or even heard of this incredible location on my island. As soon as I saw this majestic view, I just stood there in awe, admiring the beauty before me. This became a new favorite location. I am hoping to return, better prepared, for some good shooting at the golden hour and later futher into the night, try some long exposures with clear skies.
Two future projects I'd like to bring to this community.

Location
This photograph was taken in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. This particular spot is known as Cueva del Indio, and this was my first time here. Before this particular day, I had never even known of this spot. It instantly became a memorable place, and I was able to capture this beautiful shot, for myself and all those who get a chance to see it.Time
The time of day must have been between around 5 o'clock. I cannot remember, though it should be recorded on the original raw file.Lighting
I waited for the sun to go down a bit, but not to dark. I needed to slow down the aperture just enough to facilitate later merging into long exposure, but fast enough to prevent blurry photos from camera shake due to being handheld.Equipment
I used my Canon 70D with my Canon EF-S 10-18mm. I had not purchased my tripod yet, so I took this shot hand held.Inspiration
The shot was inspired by long exposure shots I have seen from other photographers and a technique I saw online regarding multiple consecutive shots to make a single long exposure shot through the use of Lightroom and Photoshop.Editing
The photograph was processed between Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop (Creative Cloud version). I used Lightroom to organize and select the set of shots taken in a row, to then send them over to Photoshop through Lightroom for centralizing and merging, and then returned to Lightroom for final touches. The merging process was to create the long exposure look without the use of ND filters or a steady tripod. Centralizing was very important before merging due to being handheld and consistent movement of the camera. The Canon 70D's 7 frames per second helped a lot, as well as the Canon 10-18mm's IS system to prevent noticeable movement between each frame and camera shake. In my camera bag
I normally carry the 70D (and sometimes I also carry my old T3) accompanied by my three lenses; the Canon 10-18mm, Canon 15-85 and Canon 70-300. I also carry a MeFoto Tripod and a 2x etender. I use my cell phone as an intervalometer through the Canon 70D's wifi capabilities.Feedback
Sometimes you find things by accident, so keep that camera close by when travelling. To take one picture, you probably have more then one way to photograph it, so learn and experiment. For this shot, I desired a long exposure shot, but I did not have a tripod or an ND filter, but I worked around it with alternative technique. Merging of a set of continuous shots for a single photograph. It gave me this beautiful capture of Cueva del Indio.
