Location
I took this photo walking local woods, Pembrokeshire, Wales, UK.Time
This was taken in the afternoon.Lighting
It was a bright day but the woods was shaded.Equipment
I used my trusty old Canon 350D, Cosina macro lens, no tripod.Inspiration
I had recently been given a macro lens and was desperate to find a subject. The subject is very small and the marco lens makes it look a lot larger than what it actually is.Editing
Converted to BW, minor crop.In my camera bag
I started with a Canon 350D, (most of my pics on ViewBug were taken with this). Today, I now have a Canon 7D mark II, I then purchased a sigma 500mm, hoping to capture some wildlife, as most of my photos are of the landscape. Canon 7D Mark ii, Sigma DG APO 50-500mm (heavvvvvy!), Canon EFS 10mm (love this lens, cheap too), Cosina Macro lens, Canon 18-55 kit lens, Yongnuo 50mm 1.8 (my first low Fstop lens...cheap :), Zomei Z888 tripod.Feedback
I just happen to look inside a hollowed tree, got down on my knees and stuck my head in. .....Look for the unexpected. I think I have proved that you don't need to spend lots to capture a good pic, I got my money worth out of my 350D, the Cosina macro lens has a tight focus point, so...take many pics of the same subject, altering the fstop...sometimes its just luck!
