Location
This photo was taken in one of my favorite places in the whole world. An abandoned house in New Bern, North Carolina. The back half of the house is falling in, but the main house and even upstairs are in great condition. This home still feels "inviting" as opposed to some other structures I've entered.Time
This was taken at around 11 am. The sun streams perfectly through the windows in this front room at midday.Lighting
All of the lighting in this shot is coming directly from th2 windows. No extra light was added.Equipment
This image was shot with a Canon 7D and a Tamron 16-300 lensInspiration
I have always wanted to shoot a dancer with baby powder. I don't know the first thing about ballet though. I told the model, Alex, to just have fun. This was her studio. This shot right here was a retake of one of her stretches. I was absolutely amazed by what her body looked liked when I saw her stretch and asked her to do it again.Editing
I do typically use alot of post processing in my art. This image though, has very little. I overexposed the light a bit in photoshop and cooled the image drastically. In my camera bag
Currently in my bag, I have a Canon 6D, a 50 1.4 and a speedlight and trigger. I do own other lenses, but my 50 almost never leaves my camera body.Feedback
Never be afraid to take risks. Risks make me feel alive! And learn something new everyday. Whether it's a different way of focusing, or how to use a curves adjustment layer in photoshop, never stop learning.
