Behind The Lens

Location
Its near my Village in the Bavarian Forest, around the mountain Arber. To get there, you have to hike a bit and know the location.
Time
It was around high noon in the winter, around -15° C.
Lighting
Well i was just lucky there. The air wasnt so clear and the sun couldnt be as strong as when its clear. So the shuttertime was ideal for the foreground and background.
Equipment
canon eos 100d , sigma 4.5-5.6 10-22mm , no flash and a external remote.
Inspiration
We were hiking as usual around to find a spot to snowboard. After some time we found this cliff and tried to drop it. After we got the speed just right, i just got a little bit to fast and ended up going to high and to deep. The landing was pretty rough flat but not impossible.
Editing
My post-processing from that time was pretty simple. Adjust some curves and thats it. The Rider was highlighted a bit more ,so it pops out.
In my camera bag
i have a burton bag which can be opend on the bag, so i can carry my snowboard/snow shoes on the front. Furthermore a light tripod, 1 canon eos 1000d a 10-22mm,50mm and a 70-200mm. When we are shooting park or urban then a flash or two. And my external Remote.
Feedback
First of all that in the picture is me, yeah i shot it with a external remote. So the timing is crucial and alot of practice. So i can shoot my buddies wherever iam currently and doesnt have to rely on them capturing me. When i shoot snowboard i dont use AF. I think its better to use MF with a tripod. Never walk/hike in the landing and avoid having lurkers.
