This photo is of Samuel Glacier in British Colombia's most northern provincial Park, Tastenshini-Alsek.Time
After a rainy 2 hour drive and 6 hour hike, we finally attained our destination. It was near 3pm as we were getting over the last hill to reveal the glacier, at this moment, the clouds broke leaving us with this dramatic backdrop. Absolutely stunning!Lighting
Honestly, I just got lucky with this one. I love shooting on overcast and cloudy days as the low light and clouds create so much natural drama.Equipment
This photo was taken with my Olympus E-M5 II camera and Zuiko 12-40mm, f/2.8 lensInspiration
I wanted to somehow illustrate the immensity and powerfulness of the glacier, and as we came over that hill and were overtaken by the sight of this insane natural beauty, my friend excitedly ran towards the glacier. As she got further away from me and closer to the glacier, I just saw it... the perfect picture for what I wanted to capture. Thank you Juliana for your awesome impulsive reaction.Editing
I brightened the colours since I poorly set the settings on my camera before I took the picture. I, myself, was too excited! so I had to brighten the colours in post-processing to highlight what it really looked like out there! In my camera bag

If you are into landscape photography, don't be shy to use your friends here and there to create a more dramatic photo. It gives your audiences a great sense of perspective.
