Cormorants spend large percentage of their time drying up and accumulating the warmth of the Sun, after hours of swimming and diving after fish, which is their main sustenance. They'll also nibble at the shells, I've seen them underwater doing that. Not an easy life, maybe, but it has its bright moments! ;)
