Behind The Lens
Location
My picture was taken at my work (Garden Centre). As I am still learning I was thrilled to catch this little fellow.Time
This has to be one of my favourite images. Not long after arriving at work, this little chap kept coming back to the same spot. I kept watching him and eventually I managed to sneak a shot from behind my car. Must have been around 10 am.Lighting
The lighting was good as the sun wasn't yet harsh. The background of the shade house put him in a good spot.Equipment
I used my Nikon D 810 with Sigma 150 - 600 lens, hand held.Inspiration
I had seen this little bird for a few days. Close to where we park there was a pile of potting mix which obviously looked inviting to make a nest in. As you can see by the wire he is only small, I just couldn't resist him, just beautiful.Editing
The only post processing I mainly did was to crop.In my camera bag
I usually have my Nikon D 810, Sigma 150 - 600 lens for birds. Tripod just in case, but this lens is pretty good I cay usually hand hold.Feedback
Just be patient. The more the birds see you around the less likely they are to fly off.
