Dungeness beach is littered with old fishing boats and shacks. The weather is hostile during the winter. With high winds and cold. The light is forever changing giving a change of mood, normally dramatic.Editing
This image would have been processed in Photoshop CC. This image would have been shot in RAW and most if not all adjustments will have been made in ACR Raw.. From adjusting exposure, controlling highlights and clarity.In my camera bag
I like to travel light so a change of lens such as a Canon 18-135 IS lens and some filters such as a polarizer. Do have some graduated filters and a flashgun along with the usual spare compact flash memory card and cleaning equipment.Feedback
A must is a wide angle lens. Getting down low to make the boat imposing. A 18% grey sky(dark blue) so when the conversion into black and white takes place you get the rich dark sky. Put the boat on a slight diagonal to give the image more impact. Take lots of pictures using different settings.
